Early Career Hydrogeologists’ Network
The Early Career Hydrogeologists’ Network (ECHN) is an official network of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) providing a forum for hydrogeologists at the start of their professional or academic careers.
The ECHN was established by a small group of Early Career Hydrogeologists attending an IAH congress, who decided to dedicate some of their time to enable young researchers and professionals to engage with each other and established members of the IAH.
Our network now officially connects almost 1000 young hydrogeologists from 16 international branches, with new chapters and members joining every year. The ECHN is now run by 12 passionate steering committee members who dedicate a small amount of their time to make a big difference in our hydrogeology community. We have committed ourselves to encourage to all early career hydro’s to join our network and benefit from our ECHN national meetings and symposiums, social media posts on research and professional opportunities, the IAH membership program, ECHN travel grants and congress events and opportunities (Keynotes, co-conveners, side sessions, book exchanges and workshops).
To join the ECHN all you need to do is become a member of the IAH and either be a current student or within 5 years of your last professional degree.
To register simply send an email to echn.iah@gmail.com and we will add you to our network.
